Russia and Belarus will respond to Western pressure, heads of diplomatic departments said at a meeting in Minsk
Not only military threats, but also economic sanctions are used to weaken our Union State. The Council of Europe adopted the 14th package of sanctions against Russia. Among the restrictions, including a ban on the transit of Russian LNG through European ports. Belarus and Russia will respond asymmetrically to these steps of the West. This was stated by the heads of diplomatic departments of our countries at a meeting in Minsk today.
Exemplary cooperation in a wide range of areas through the years. Talks between the heads of the foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia have been held in Minsk. Sergei Lavrov's visit to our country is timed to the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Minsk and Moscow. Tomorrow the mutually beneficial and all-weather cooperation will be 32. Despite the gaining pressure from the West, the results in mutual trade between the countries remain a reason for pride.
Sergei Aleinik, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:
“We practically have a common and sober view of the ongoing processes. We realize that the world is changing rapidly, the Western minority group is aggressively trying to maintain its dominance in the international arena, while the majority disagrees with it. All means, including military ones, are used to clamp down on free-thinkers and dissenters. We are passing this stage calmly and with dignity.”
He emphasized that a solid mechanism of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation has been formed and fine-tuned.
