Belarus-China interaction enhanced- President meets with top leadership of CITIC Construction

Both Minsk and Beijing are determined to step up interaction between Belarus and China, especially after the talks of the leaders in Samarkand, which resulted in a historic rise of the partnership between our countries to a new level. There are a lot of opportunities and areas of cooperation between the states. Today, for example, the details of cooperation with CITIC Construction, a major Chinese company, were discussed. There are a lot of joint projects in the general portfolio, and new ones will be added to it. As you can see, the spirit at all levels has been set by Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping personally. Belarus and China will support each other under any circumstances. The next meeting of the leaders is planned.

The meeting of the leaders of Belarus and China in Samarkand was historic. A new level of all-weather and all-round strategic partnership is not just words. It means the world is changing, but Minsk and Beijing remain true to themselves: they cooperate more and more closely in politics, economy and security.

А. Lukashenko revealed the plans of his talks with Xi Jinping and outlined the dates of his upcoming visit

"There are a number of issues that we have to discuss with you because you are the largest company operating in Belarus. All of this has to do with the fact that I have to thoroughly prepare for the conversation with President Xi Jinping. We had a detailed and substantive meeting in Samarkand. We discussed all the economic issues of our cooperation, including the issues within your competence and responsibility, and we agreed that after the 20th CPC Congress scheduled to start on 16 October 2022 we will have a more thorough talk about the economy, politics and military-technical cooperation.

Today, the first train with Belarusian peat has left for China. We will work on food security, green economy and biotechnologies.

"I strongly hope that your current visit will not only clarify the situation with regard to some projects; we will be able to discuss completion dates of these projects, but your visit will also give us a chance to look into the future of our relations, especially in the construction industry," Alexander Lukashenko said.
