Results of talks between Presidents of Belarus and Mongolia in Ulan Bator
A roadmap of cooperation for three years ahead has been signed following the talks between the Presidents of Belarus and Mongolia. They were held today in Ulan Bator.
Alexander Lukashenko is on a state visit to Mongolia. Our country is open for cooperation in all areas, the Belarusian leader emphasized.
State visit of the President of Belarus to Mongolia
The President was welcomed according to all the canons: with the singing of the national anthems, participation of the honor guard company and the Horse Guards. The ceremony with local flavor: servicemen in historical costumes of the Chinggis Khan era.
“Our states are on the threshold of a qualitatively new stage in the development of bilateral cooperation,” Alexander Lukashenko wrote in the book of honorary guests before the talks. The talks were held in both narrow and extended formats. The Presidents discussed the bilateral agenda one-on-one in a traditional Mongolian yurt in one of the halls of the State Palace.
Belarus and Mongolia have long-standing friendly relations despite the first visit of this level. This is a strong basis for the development of bilateral contacts.
Lukashenko: We have come as your friends to deepen and expand our relations
“The basis of our relations was certainly created by our very close and warm relations during the times of the Soviet Union. Together with you we fought against invaders and occupiers, together with you we restored our life.”
The Belarusian leader characterized the current period for Mongolia as a very difficult, important and crucial moment. We are talking about the upcoming parliamentary elections. “You have colossal resources, enormous wealth. This is your great good. But this good must be preserved, protected. Because the world today has gone mad. Only strength is respected. And to exist in this frenzied world, you need to be strong. I sincerely wish you to be strong to survive in this world and make the Mongolian people deservedly rich and great, - said the President. - The great Genghis Khan, before whom you bow down, and deservedly so, because you have a great history, always taught that in order to achieve something, everyone should do his job in his place. And power should be tough, as hard as a fist. Nobody holds the power with spread fingers.
Belarus is open for contacts, emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. He invited the head of Mongolia and Mongolian specialists to the Belarusian land so that they could see how our country is developing and decide on specific plans.
Following the talks, the heads of state signed an agreement on friendly relations and cooperation. Belarusians are close friends and brothers for Mongolians. The President emphasized this when commenting on the criticism of some media outlets against Belarus for supporting Russia in conducting the Strategic Air Defense Treaty. Alexander Lukashenko urged not to make Belarusians the enemies of the Mongolian people. Belarus is ready to prove by deeds that together we can do a lot, he emphasized.
Belarus is doing everything to bring peace to Ukraine. But not everyone is interested in this. Another thing is that some Mongolian media promote a completely different position, making Belarus look like a co-aggressor. The Mongolian opposition planned anti-Belarus rallies in the center of Ulaanbaatar. But the Mongolian society heard Alexander Lukashenko's convincing arguments - only 5 people gathered at the anti-Belarusian rally.
