Lukashenko to pay official visit to Iran on March 12-13
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay an official visit to Iran on March 12-13. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Pool of the First".
In Tehran, the Belarusian head of state will hold talks with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Earlier, during a meeting on the margins of the SCO summit in Samarkand on September 16, 2022, the two leaders instructed the foreign ministries to intensify relations and revise them.
The main topic of the talks in Tehran will be the development of interaction across the spectrum of bilateral relations with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation. The meeting of the presidents will be held in a narrow and extended format with the participation of members of delegations. The sides will discuss the implementation of projects in the spheres of industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. Special attention will be paid to the situation in the region and in the world as a whole.
A number of international documents on the development of relations in the spheres of mutual interest will be signed following the talks.
During his official visit to Iran, Alexander Lukashenko will also hold meetings with First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei.
One of the central events of the visit will be the signing of a comprehensive "road map" of comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Iran.
