Lukashenko: Belarus attaches great importance to intensification of political dialogue and cooperation with Palestine

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, BelTA informs.

"This holiday symbolizes the steadfast desire of Palestine to maintain its identity and is a guide for the international community in support of the inalienable right to establish their own independent state," said Alexander Lukashenko.

The Head of State emphasized that Belarus, as one of the founding countries of the United Nations, is interested in settling the Palestinian issue in accordance with the norms of international law and decisions of the UN General Assembly in order to achieve sustainable peace in the Middle East.

"It is gratifying to note that in recent years Minsk and Ramallah have intensified the development of bilateral relations in a spirit of mutual trust and respect," said the President of Belarus. - We attach great importance to the intensification of political dialogue, cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology, agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, as well as supplies of agricultural machinery and food products."

Alexander Lukashenko also emphasized: "I hope to continue fruitful work with you in the name of ensuring the well-being of our citizens.
