President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of India Draupadi Murmu and all Indian people on the national holiday, the Republic Day. This is reported by BelTA, citing the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"India has achieved excellent success in socio-economic development and has become one of the most progressive countries of the world," reads the congratulatory message. - Belarus attaches great importance to the strengthening of friendly relations with New Delhi and is interested in expanding the political dialogue to the level of strategic partnership."

Stepping up contacts in trade, economic, educational, investment, scientific and cultural spheres meets the interests of the citizens of both countries, the head of state is convinced.

"I am pleased to meet you in person in the year of India's presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and discuss ways and areas of development of comprehensive cooperation," said the Belarusian leader.
