Lukashenko: CIS activity is of particular importance for regional security, peace and stability

The activities of the Commonwealth of Independent States take on special significance for the consolidation of efforts to strengthen regional security. This was stated in the response message of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, the press service of the Belarusian leader said.

"Dear Sadyr Nurgozhoyevich, I thank you for your message and warm congratulations on the 30th anniversary of signing the Charter of the Commonwealth of Independent States. I fully share your point of view that the Commonwealth was established as a representative integration association in the post-Soviet space playing an important role in the development of dialogue between participating states based on their historical commonality. In this complicated time the activity of the association takes on a special significance for consolidating efforts for the sake of strengthening regional security, peace and economic stability," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

The President expressed his confidence that in the year of Kyrgyzstan's presidency joint work will make a significant contribution to further strengthening of the CIS, improving the well-being of all peoples of the Commonwealth.

The head of state wished Sadyr Zhaparov good health, happiness and success in his creative work, as well as prosperity and confidence in the future to all people of Kyrgyzstan.
