Lukashenko thanks Pakistan for support of Belarus in UN and in joining SCO

The expansion of trade cooperation, mutual support at international platforms and joint work of the deputies of Belarus and Pakistan. These issues were discussed today at the Palace of Independence. The President met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq arrived in Minsk the previous day. By the way, the visit takes place in the year of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. And in 2015, the Islamabad Declaration of bilateral partnership was still signed. Among the areas of mutual interest are engineering, agriculture, science, education and healthcare. A separate track is traditionally cooperation in the field of high technology. The purpose of the visit is to raise interaction between the countries to a higher level.

“Today we want, as we agreed with your Prime Minister recently (July 4, 2024 in Astana on the margins of the SCO summit - editor's note), to resume, having revisited, our relations, to bring them to an even higher level than it was before,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
