Lukashenko visits National Museum of Chinggis Khan in Ulan Bator
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is visiting the National Museum of Chinggis Khan in Ulan Bator, BELTA reports.
The President of Belarus was welcomed at the museum by Minister of Culture of Mongolia Chinbatyn Nomin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkhiyin Battsetseg and Director General of the museum Sampildondovyn Chuluun.
The National Museum of Chinggis Khan is located next to the State Palace. The museum was opened in 2022. It is a 9-story building in modern style with a total area of 22.5 thousand square meters. Of this, the exhibition area occupies 10.2 thousand square meters.
The exposition presents more than 10 thousand original exhibits, including paintings, manuscripts, sculptures, sewing and embroidery, reflecting the main milestones of Mongolian history - from the founder of the Hunnish Empire (the first nomadic state) to the early twentieth century.
The museum has the following thematic halls: “Ancient States”, “Great Mongolia”, “Mongolian Empire”, “Kings and subjects of Chinggis Khan”, “The World and Mongols”.
The Museum houses an exhibition and restoration laboratory, two study halls, a library, a mini-cinema, a “Silver Tree” hall, a souvenir store and coffee houses.
