President approves decision on guarding state border of Belarus

This was the result of the meeting in the Palace of Independence. Yesterday, Alexander Lukashenko received Anatoly Lappo, head of the State Border Committee. The issue of guarding borders is brought up to the level of the head of state every year. The document requires adjustments - because the operational situation is constantly changing as well as the geopolitical situation in the region. Border security is one of the pillars of state functioning. Last year was difficult in many respects, but border guards coped with their task.

The President also received a report from the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The agenda of the meeting included environmental protection and reasonable consumption of natural resources. Belarus will continue paying great attention to these issues. The President also touched upon the work of the hydro-meteorological service, which used to receive a lot of criticism. But recently the forecasts have become more accurate.
