Dismantling history: Another monument to Soviet soldiers desecrated in Lithuania
Monuments are destroyed and desecrated almost every day. The struggle with the history most loudly continues in the Baltic States. In Lithuania, vandals desecrated another monument to Soviet soldiers. The monument and memorial plaques on the military cemetery in Grishkabudis were spilled with blue and yellow paint. A criminal case has been initiated under the article on desecration of a grave or other public place of honor.
In Latvia they want to demolish the monument to the Liberators of Riga. This was stated by the former foreign minister. The MEP wrote in social networks that now is the best moment to demolish the monument to the Soviet soldiers-liberators, as all the attention of Russia and the European Union is focused on Ukraine.
