Expert tells whether Ukraine's breakthrough into territory of Belarus possible
The President of Belarus in an interview with the TV channel "Russia" answered the question whether he is ready to press the red button. Belarus does not intend to use nuclear weapons as long as the enemy does not cut off the borders of the Union State. In general, "these red buttons have already been pressed along the perimeter of Russia and Belarus. The only thing left is to press the red button. Russian political scientist, radio and TV host Sergei Mikheev told us whether it can happen.
Sergei Mikheev:
There is a danger of nuclear war theoretical, at least, which, of course, would bring a terrible catastrophe to the whole world. First of all, to the Northern Hemisphere and Europe. It is the task of responsible leaders to prevent it. On the other hand, as far as Ukraine is concerned, which is currently the main factor in the danger of unleashing such a war, we can do without nuclear weapons. As for the events in Kursk Region and all similar actions and provocations against Belarus, we should act much tougher, putting the opponent in his place. It is not necessary to use tactical nuclear weapons. In reality, there are a huge number of ways to damage the enemy without using tactical nuclear weapons.
It became known that Minsk has identified more than 20 brigades and battalion groups, which will be involved near the borders with Ukraine to prevent a breakthrough. Sergei Mikheev noted that Ukraine should not go for such a thing, as it would mean the involvement of the Belarusian army in the war.
"But that's if you think sensibly. I have serious concerns that there are no sane people left in Kiev. There is a mass of adventurers, psychopaths, fanatics with some cannibalistic tendencies. And what is important, they are not quite independent. They are led by other people. First of all, Westerners, for whom any experiment, if it does not threaten them, is quite acceptable. Therefore, if Ukraine were an independent state, really independent, then they should have no reason to expand the battle front. But they are now in such a dependent position on the Americans, the British, the Europeans - to a lesser extent - that sovereignty is out of the question. And in this situation, unfortunately, anything can be expected," the expert emphasized.
