Russian Federal Security Service foils terrorist attacks in Moscow Region prepared by Ukrainian special services

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation managed to suppress terrorist attacks, in the preparation of which the security services of Ukraine were involved, RIA Novosti reported.

According to the FSB, the terrorist attacks were being prepared in the Moscow region. Ukrainian special services planned to use man-portable air defense systems Igla to carry them out.

A Ukrainian citizen, born in 1972, was detained in connection with the preparation of terrorist acts. According to the FSS, he was able to transport man-portable air defense systems from Kiev to Russia. Estonia was a transit country. It is established that the man acted on a tip from the Ukrainian Security Service. The suspect has repented of his actions and is cooperating with the investigation.
