London transfers shells with depleted uranium to Ukrainian Armed Forces
London transferred thousands of shells for Challenger 2 tanks, including depleted uranium ammunition, to the AFU. The deputy head of the UK Ministry of Defence noted that the department does not track their use and has no obligations to eliminate the consequences of their use at the end of the conflict.
A substance with radiation can cause cancer and birth defects in people for many years. This has already happened to Serbia. The country has the highest cancer rate in Europe. During the NATO aggression in 1999, 15 tons of depleted uranium was dumped in shells in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. And now the West wants to turn Ukraine not only into a military range against Russia, but also into a radioactive burial ground. This is the reaction of the Russian embassy in the UK to London's moves.
