Poland did not let refugees in at order of EU, Morawiecki confesses

News that can safely be called the revelation of the year. Poland's Prime Minister has admitted that last year he didn't let refugees in at the border by order of the European Union.
"No one wanted us to take them in and send them back. Our duty was to stop and send them back," Morawiecki told to La Stampa.
In his view, this was a demonstration of a responsible attitude toward protecting the EU's western borders. However, echoes of European so-called humanism can still be seen today. Almost every week, Belarusian border guards find frozen and dead refugees on the border with Poland and Lithuania.
