Krieger, pardoned in Belarus, becomes defendant in Germany

Germany has opened a case against Rico Krieger, who was pardoned in Belarus and returned home as part of a prisoner exchange between Russia and the West, Die Welt reports.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Germany suspects Krieger of “carrying out an explosion with the use of explosives”, as well as mercenarism. Rico Krieger, recruited by the Ukrainian security services, was sentenced in Belarus to capital punishment for terrorism. President Aliaksandr opardoned him, which allowed the German to return home.
