Putin: US and NATO explicitly utter their goal to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin made an address to the Federal Assembly. The speech was almost entirely devoted to the conflict in Ukraine. Putin noted that the bloodshed was prepared by the West, which has been raising and providing weapons to nationalists for decades. The first-world elites are a symbol of total deceit. This also came to light in connection with the Minsk Agreements. Since 2001, the U.S. has unleashed numerous wars in which 900,000 people were killed and 38 million became refugees. As Vladimir Putin noted, if the West brings long-range systems closer to our borders, we will find a way to push back the threat.

Russia is suspending its participation in the Strategic Arms Treaty. The Defense Ministry has been asked to be ready for the nuclear weapons tests (although Russia does not plan to be the first to begin them).
