Series of terrorist attacks prevented in Russia

The Federal Security Service of Russia has stopped a channel of explosives supplies from Europe to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of the country. The sappers extracted electric detonators and convolutions with explosive substance from the cavities of automobile parts.

It is reported that the attackers sent the means to carry out terrorist attacks “in stages from Italy and Germany” to St. Petersburg. For the supply of dangerous goods they used a Russian transportation company, whose employees did not suspect what is actually in the parcels. At the same time, the department's requests to European intelligence services to identify the organizers and accomplices of the crime remained unanswered, the Russian Federal Security Service stressed.
