Actor and director Yuri Solomin turns 85

Today the People's Artiste of Russia and the USSR, an outstanding actor and director Yuri Solomin celebrates his 85th birthday. His first major work on the stage of Moscow Academic Maly Theater was the role of Khlestakov. Solomin starred in about hundred films. The actor became popularly famous in the spring of 1970 after the premiere of the serial television film "Adjutant of His Excellency." President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated People's Artiste of the USSR Yuri Solomin on his 85th birthday, wishing him long years of life, good health, and happiness.
