Authentic carpets at the exhibition of Handicrafts Center in Starye Dorogi

Authentic carpets were presented at the exhibition of the Handicrafts Center in Starye Dorogi. In Starye Dorogi District, wall carpets decorated with straw appliqué began to be created in the early 50s of the last century in the village of Rukhovo. It is because of their local origin that they got their name. Masters pass on and preserve the original technique through generations. And authentic making of Rukhov carpets in the technique of applique with straw on the cloth acquired the status of intangible historical and cultural value of Belarus.
