Bolshoi Theater of Belarus opens anniversary season with renewed classics

This is a leap from the holiday intermission to the anniversary season. Today, the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus will solemnly lift the wing flats for the 90th time. A renewed classic is on stage. The ballet troupe will wake Yelizariev's "The Sleeping Beauty" again.

On the anniversary, the emphasis will be placed on high historical examples of opera and ballet art. The second life will be given to "Don Quixote". The ballet will change. The viewer will see new scenery and costumes, and will also be waiting for changes in the choreography. On New Year's Eve, the drama "The Snow Queen" will unfold on the stage. And the opera "The Barber of Seville" will become international. We are waiting for Italian musicians and artists on the stage in a duet with Belarusians.

The closest of the premieres is "Giselle". Former premiere star of the Mariinsky Theatre Igor Kolb is working daily on a ballet version number 6.

We will see "Giselle" on September 28. At the same time, the Bolshoi troupe is also drawing up a tour map: the Bolshoi Theater of Russia will host the ballet "The Nutcracker" and the opera "King Stakh's Wild Hunt".
