Igor Kolb becomes chief ballet master of Bolshoi Theater of Belarus

Igor Kolb, Honored Artist of Russia, was appointed Director of Choreography for the Bolshoi Ballet Company. A premier at the Mariinsky Theatre for over a quarter of a century, he has conquered the world stages of the Rome and Vienna operas. But everything started at the Belarusian Bolshoi Theater. The native of Pinsk was noticed by former principal choreographer Yuri Troyan and as early as his third year at the Bolshoi Theatre Kolb appeared in the productions by maestro Yelizariev! The decision to return home was purely personal.

Igor Kolb is ready to promote educational projects, produce the theater abroad and attract a Belarusian audience in the next three years in his new position. And tomorrow he will have the first rehearsal with the company.
