Horses highlighted by international project of two museums
One of the most beloved and popular animalistic figures, horses became the focus of the international project of the National Art Museum of Belarus and the Museum of Southern Podlasie in Poland. A few hours ago a solemn presentation of the exposition took place on the main exhibition area of the country. It includes more than 200 works of different eras, styles, genres and trends.
Svetlana Prokopieva, curator of the exhibition, head of the National Art Museum of Belarus: "The goal is to show the role of the horse in human life and display this role in the fine arts and crafts and, of course, present the image of the horse as it was interpreted by artists from the 17th century to the present time. It is necessary for the spectator to come and find his favorite horse, and it does not matter whether it will be created by a Polish, Italian, Belarusian or Russian artist."
