New director general of Belarusfilm informs about upcoming reforms

Belarusfilm should become a movie factory. The new director general of the only film production in our country has informed about the forthcoming reforms. Priority will be given to cost-effective projects aimed at the Belarusian and foreign markets. The new commercial model will come into force in the new season. In addition, more attention will be paid to co-productions.

Belarusian documentary and animation remain competitive. This year more than fifty documentary films were bought by the Viasat History TV channel. In the near future Belarusfilm and its Polish colleagues plan to release a full-length animated film about Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Tomorrow, a large creative delegation goes to Qingdao. Actors, directors and managers will present Belarusian movies on the Asian film market.
