People greet spring according to ancient traditions in Vileyka

Spring was met with songs for the accordion, sweet pastries and festivities in Vileyka. Each hostess prepared delicacies with the wishes of well-being, prosperity and soon marriage for the young. The holiday is called “Soroki”.

The place of greeting spring is visible from afar. The house is always decorated with a national bird - a stork. The trees are dressed with colorful ribbons, as if they are already blooming, and dance lasts until late in the evening.
