Hundreds of archaeological artifacts discovered today on site of ancient Minsk

Archaeological artifacts have been found on the construction place of a new facility. According to the legislation of our country, all excavations must be accompanied by archaeologists. The Liberation Street is the outskirts of the city in the Middle Ages. A large number of objects were found in the cultural layer of the 17th-18th century. Part of the findings belongs to the 19th century. The construction work is temporarily suspended.

All findings will be transported to the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for their study and establishment of a more accurate dating. After that, the artifacts will be available to the public. They will be transferred to the museum of the history of Minsk or kept in the museum of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
