Days of Russia's spiritual culture in Belarus start

Belarusian aesthetes will be introduced to the historical and spiritual heritage of the neighboring country until October 15 inclusive. The project of six events is an initiative of the ministries of culture of Belarus and Russia.

So, on October 13, maestro Yuri Bashmet will perform on the big stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. The People's Artist of the Soviet Union and Russia voiced the letters of Van Gogh red by actor Evgeny Mironov. The mono-performance, accompanied by the "Soloists of Moscow" has already been tested in Russia. The text is based on fragments of Van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo. The drama is intensified by works by Brahms, Schnittke, and Beethoven. Maestro Bashmet personally selected the abstracts for the reading. There will be only one such concert in Belarus.

The shrines of ancient Novgorod in the History Museum

Simultaneously, the National History Museum is demonstrating "The Shrines of Ancient Novgorod". This is a joint exhibition of the ROSPHOTO Museum and Exhibition Center and the Novgorod Museum Reserve. It presents photos of the icon art masterpieces from the 11-15th centuries. In addition, there is a photo of the decoration of churches by Barshchevsky, the founder of architectural photography.

The official start of the Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia in Belarus is tomorrow. The events will culminate in the Kupala Theater. In the evening, the choir of the Sretensky monastery will perform there.
