Festival dedicated to Dmitry Shostakovich begins in Myadelsk

The third festival dedicated to the outstanding composer of the 20th century Dmitry Shostakovich starts in Myadel District today. The great-grandfather of the musician was born in the Belarusian town of Shemetovo. This year, the opening of the forum will take place in the village of Naroch. Musicians from Belarus, France, Serbia, and Bulgaria will take part in the festival.

Four concerts are scheduled. They will feature the music of Dmitry Shostakovich, as well as Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, and Dmitry Smolsky. The festival ends on 9 August 9 in Shemetovo.
