Belarusian Parliament to open its session on March 15

Parliament re-structures its work in accordance with the renewed Сonstitution. Thus, the session will open symbolically on March 15, on the Constitution Day. In the future, the legislative season for deputies and senators will be uninterrupted from September to June. Now there are 13 issues on the agenda, and about 30 more will be considered by the relevant commissions. A particular attention is paid to updating the laws in connection with the changes made to the Constitution. More than a 100 documents must be amended. A law on the All-Belarusian People's Assembly also needs to be developed. It can be adopted before the end of the year.

Parliamentarians will continue to work with a large base of citizens' proposals. They were introduced during the discussion of the new Constitution, and now they can be used in further lawmaking activities.
