President of Belarus invites countries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization to create alliance in healthcare
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is one of the largest regional associations. This status gives an opportunity not to obey to the rules dictated by external forces. The Belarusian leader outlined some issues. Our country supports the initiative of Tajikistan to create an anti-drug center. It is necessary to actively resist such global risks as terrorism, extremism, illegal migration. Cyber attacks are among the new challenges. They affect the security of countries and people. It is necessary to create an international legal system to combat such threats. Alexander Lukashenko defined the further development of the common transport space of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as promising, also he drew attention to the renewable energy sources, nuclear energy. Use of national currencies in international trade is proposed more frequently. Our President suggested the countries of the Shanghai Organization creating an alliance in the field of health.
Despite the fact that the governments of Russia and China have provided humanitarian aid to many countries in the form of vaccines, technologies for their production and personal protective equipment, our opponents are increasingly manipulating this topic on grounds that are far from fighting for the health of the population. We need to unite and work together to create an alliance in the field of healthcare.
The SCO states need to intensify cooperation in the production of vaccines and medicines, and not only against coronavirus, according to the President.
The procedure for accepting Iran as a full member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization started. Granting the status of a dialogue partner to Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia is also among the results of the meeting.
