Alexander Lukashenko arrives in Zimbabwe on state visit
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has arrived on a state visit to Zimbabwe. This is the highest protocol status of the visit, BelTA informs. The plane of the head of state landed at the airport in the capital city of Harare. President Emmerson Mnangagwa welcomed the Belarusian leader.
The Belarusian delegation has already started its work in Harare. A Belarusian-Zimbabwean business forum was held in the first half of the day, where a number of bilateral documents have already been signed. Business meetings and negotiations will continue during the visit.
The official part of the talks between Alexander Lukashenko and Emmerson Mnangagwa is scheduled for January 31. The Heads of State will meet in a one-on-one format and in an enlarged format with the participation of members of delegations from both sides.
The leaders will also attend a ceremony of handing over machinery from Belarusian manufacturers as part of the second phase of the program for the mechanization of farms in the Republic of Zimbabwe and the start of the third phase of the program. The event will be held at the Zimbabwe Institute of Agriculture.
