Belarus invites all countries to mutually beneficial cooperation and trustful relations in various areas

A statement to this effect has been made today at the Palace of Independence by the President when he accepted credentials from ambassadors of eight nations.

They included representatives of Russia, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Laos, Morocco, Nigeria, Chad and Sri Lanka. The diplomats are embarking on their work at a landmark time. In three weeks the Referendum on the Constitution renewal in Belarus will be held. Each of the diplomats has time to get to the bottom of the processes taking place in the country. The President stressed: the Belarusian people determine their own development without any pressure from the outside.

In his speech, the President touched upon the relations of Minsk with each of the countries, whose ambassadors have started their diplomatic service. Thus, Belarus and Russia reached a new level of strategic partnership relations last year. The Belarusian leader hopes that the appointment of Boris Gryzlov will help strengthen the multifaceted Belarusian-Russian relations and implement 28 integration programs.

Belarus also intends to intensify cooperation with the regions of the "far arc", the states of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
