Lukashenko announces agenda of upcoming negotiations with Putin at meeting with Gryzlov
The import substitution and cooperation will be the key topics to move forward in Belarusian-Russian relations. Alexander Lukashenko announced it at a meeting with Russian Ambassador Boris Gryzlov. These positions, among others, will be the subjects of the forthcoming talks of Alexander Lukashenko with Vladimir Putin. One of the spheres for import substitution and cooperation is IT.In our country, they once staked on the development of the High Technology Park and today this work continues. The President is sure that in the IT-sphere in Belarus and Russia one should focus on the creation of their own products, rather than work in the interests of large foreign companies.
Lukashenko on IT: one should focus on the creation of domestic products
"Some people say: Lukashenko will kick all IT-specialists out. No, I did not create this park for nothing. It works and will work. I'm just now closely involved in this issue, because I need to meet with IT-specialists, and not only in the park." The President said that the HTP in Belarus gave an impetus to the development of the IT-sphere in all enterprises, in the Academy of Sciences. "We need to talk to them, ask what kind of help is needed," said the head of state. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is sure that the IT-sphere in Belarus and Russia should be focused on creating their own products, rather than working for the benefit of large foreign companies. This was stated by President of Belarus at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov.
Lukashenko about HTP: it worked and will work, I didn't create it in vain
"I think that we can do a lot together with Russia. We should eventually persuade our IT people to produce the final product, not to be at the begging of big companies. Yes, money, yes, billions of dollars - all of this is understandable. But you have to make a finished product from scratch and develop it here in the former Soviet Union. First of all, in Belarus and Russia."
Many enterprises in Belarus and Russia have succeeded in import substitution, and industrial cooperation in a number of areas, including science-intensive production, is also on a rise. Their potential can be used to strengthen the economies.
