M. Babich: Russia to continue to support integration processes as basis of union relations with Belarus

Russia will continue to support integration processes as the basis of union relations with Belarus. It concerns new joint projects, the use of high technologies and increasing trade turnover. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia Mikhail Babich announced this today in Mogilev on the eve of the 5th Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus. The diplomat visited Mogilevkhimvolokno. Almost 50 percent of the enterprise's output is exported to Russia. A complex for the production of polyester products is now at the construction stage. The capacity is 50 thousand tons per year. It will allow to receive new types of synthetic fiber and increase deliveries to the Russian regions. The prospects of cooperation were discussed at the construction site of the joint venture Omsk-Carbon Mogilev for the production of technical carbon. In the future, a research and development center is planned to be created on its basis. According to the Ambassador, such integration will make it possible to reach 50 billion dollars of goods turnover between Russia and Belarus.
