Belarus-Tajikistan: New road map, joint ventures and technology
Minsk and Dushanbe have updated the roadmap of cooperation for the next 5 years. Thereby they approved the action plan. The bilateral cooperation will develop further in mechanical engineering, processing, joint ventures, supplies of machinery and foodstuffs.
The current level of Belarusian-Tajik contacts enables the countries to discuss any, even the most complicated issues. This is facilitated by the high level of relations between the leaders of the countries.
Yesterday, Dushanbe hosted a major day of talks at the highest level. Today the heads of states met again to discuss a wide range of issues, but without ties in the country residence of the leader of Tajikistan.
The President of Belarus also had talks with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan and the Head of the Lower House of the Parliament.
The talks in Dushanbe were very dynamic and very specific. This demonstrates the level of relations and our interest in further increasing the pace of cooperation. The relevant agencies did a lot of work before the meeting of the leaders, so that in their presence it was enough just to put signatures under the documents.
Much attention was paid to the economy. The level of political contacts is very high, and the figures of mutual trade should be as well. The result of 126 million for the last year is not the limit of dreams.
Commercial agreements reached during the Belarus-Tajikistan forum will be a considerable gain. It is almost $50 million. Tajikistan is interested in our technologies and competences. We will be promoting joint products on the markets of the neighboring countries.
"The large scale of our delegation, which came to the exhibition, which we organized, the forum, will contribute to the growth not only of bilateral trade turnover, but also of trade turnover through Tajikistan to Afghanistan and other countries. Afghanistan needs our products very much, they are interested in the development of our joint ties in order to trade. I think we will also discuss regional problems. I will tell you about the situation in that region, you will tell me about what is going on here. Tajikistan and Belarus are in the same situation in this difficult time," the President stressed.
