The draft law was submitted to the House of Representatives by the Council of Ministers on 27 March. Upon ratification of the agreement, the program for military-technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia until 2025 will be put into action. The agreement implies mutual supplies of military products for the Belarusian and Russian defense forces as well as for industrial and scientific organizations of the parties, research and development work for creating new and upgrading existing weapons, military equipment, military, dual and special purpose products, measures for military and special-purpose projects in the defense industry.

As a result of the ratification of the agreement, it is planned, in particular, to lift Russian bans and restrictions on the admission of industrial goods, works (services) originating from foreign countries for the purposes of procurement for the needs of national defense and state security, reduce the time for obtaining permits from the authorized bodies of the member states to move military products, deliver military products and services for the activities included in the program on a simplified basis. The adoption of the draft law will not result in any reduction of governmental funds or increase of state expenditures.
