Experts talk about еру advantages of Belarus's membership in the SCO: it is important to step up cooperation with the eastern region and raise the prestige of Belarus in the international arena. The expert community agrees: Belarus' full-fledged membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization opens up ambitious prospects in various areas: from humanitarian to economic ones.

Sergey Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus: It is very important to actively develop economic cooperation. It is especially important today when we are subjected to a very serious economic pressure from the Western countries. A lot of useful projects are implemented in the SCO and now we are reconstructing logistical chains, we are going east. And full-fledged and active participation in this organization would help us solve economic problems: supplying our exports of goods and services to the markets of the SCO member countries and Asian countries in general.

The Belarusian leader is expected to address a meeting of the heads of the SCO Member States. Alexander Lukashenko will speak about the priorities of Belarus's cooperation in the organization.
