How many signatures must be collected for nomination as candidate for President of Belarus?

The collection of signatures for nomination as a candidate for the President of Belarus will begin on November 7. A person must collect at least 100 thousand signatures. Documents for registration of the initiative groups must be submitted no later than November 1, 2024.
The main electoral campaign started on October 24. The key points of the upcoming work were discussed at the first meeting of the CEC. 153 territorial and more than 5 thousand precinct commissions will be formed for the elections. As for the polling stations, they are planned to be created only within the country. Belarusian legislation does not provide for the opening of polling stations abroad.
Igor Karpenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus:
For those citizens who may come from abroad to take part in the vote, but do not have a place of registration and residence, we traditionally organize a polling station for them in Minsk. We also discussed the possibility of creating such stations in all regional centers. We will work on these issues with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and receive the relevant consular lists. If such citizens find it necessary to come and vote, they will be able to do so at such polling stations.
Traditionally, observers are expected to work, including international ones. The President, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, both houses of parliament, the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Election Commission have the right to invite foreign guests. By the way, information materials will be developed for international observers, including the Constitution and the Electoral Code in two languages.
The presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for January 26, 2025. Early voting starts on January 21.
