Integration as resistance to sanctions pressure
At the talks between the delegation of the Khabarovsk Region and the Belarusian government, several promising areas were identified. For example, the Russian region is ready to supply us with new Superjet aircraft from Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The agro-industrial complex projects will also be discussed in detail: these include processing and turn-key construction of farms using Belarusian technologies. In general, as Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko noted, the cooperation with Russian regions is one of the core elements of our foreign policy. Emphasis is now placed on substitution for each other's falling out supplies of components or raw materials.
Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Belarus:
Now is the right time for your visit. Our states are subject to pressure from the West. We see the introduction of cooperation and integration within the Union State as an important element in countering this illegitimate pressure. Everything we do in this context is aimed at defending our common economic interests, common basic values and priorities.
The Belarusian diaspora in Khabarovsk Krai is quite large. There are many names on the map of the region, which originate from Belarus - these are the places founded by our settlers.
