Karpenko: Central Election Commission to exercise its right to invite international observers
The Central Election Commission of Belarus will exercise its right to invite international observers. This was stated on the air of the First Information Channel by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko.
He explained that, as a rule, the Central Election Commission invites its colleagues from central election commissions. "It is obvious to us that we will invite our colleagues from the CIS countries and, first of all, the participants of the Advisory Council of the Heads of Electoral Bodies of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States, where, by the way, the Central Election Commission of Belarus currently presides. In addition, we plan to invite a number of international organizations. We have become a full member of the SCO, so we will invite this organization. It has already worked with us on the Single Election Day. In addition, we plan to expand the geography of inviting the chairmen of the Central Election Commission or representatives of the central election commissions of other states, those states with which we interact within the framework of the World Association of Electoral Bodies of the CIS countries," the head of the Central Election Commission of Belarus listed.
