Latvia suspends cooperation agreement with Belarus
The Latvian government has decided to suspend the agreement on economic, scientific and technical cooperation with Belarus from September 9. It is reported by TASS with reference to the information of the Latvian Cabinet of Ministers' Office. Such a decision, according to the report, was taken due to "violation of international law by Belarus" and its support of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. A bilateral agreement between the governments of Belarus and Latvia was signed in 2004 to expand cooperation in the fields of industry, finance, transport, tourism, and agriculture.
