Lukashenko: We need to adopt numerous laws as follow-up of new Constitution

Today, Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko. They discussed the legislative activities. During the last eighth session deputies considered 60 bills. They are a new version of the Land Code, amendments to the Civil Code, a draft law "On Public Service", "Amendments to the Criminal Code" and other documents to support the economy and redistribution of power between the authorities. Another important work of the House of Representatives is bringing laws into conformity with the new Constitution.

Deputies are preparing a bill "On the All-Belarusian People's Assembly" for introduction into the parliament this year. A working group has already prepared the bill. |The parliamentarians also develop the bill on civil society, amendments to the Electoral Code, the Code on the judicial system and the status of judges, the laws on the President of Belarus and on the Council of Ministers.
