Important decisions and space prospects: First day of Alexander Lukashenko's working visit to Russia
The Presidents of Belarus and Russia familiarized themselves with the progress of work at Vostochny spaceport. As part of the first phase of the facility construction, a universal launch facility for Soyuz-2 launch vehicles was built in 2016. The second stage includes the construction of the launch pad for Angara-A5 launch vehicles and the related infrastructure. The work is supposed to be completed by the end of this year. Belarusian specialists will have an opportunity to participate in the development of the spaceport. The issue will be resolved in the near future.
