The future of the Belarusian and Russian peoples is being determined. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko to reporters after talks in Minsk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, BelTA informs.

The focus was made on strategic directions, especially in the economy. Traditionally, a lot of attention was paid to foreign policy agenda. "The passing year was indeed a record-breaking in the 30 years of post-Soviet history in terms of the number and intensity of contacts at all levels. But the situation in the world is rapidly changing, and these changes are, without any exaggeration, truly momentous in their depth and scope," said the head of state.

"In fact, the future of the Belarusian and Russian peoples is being determined. Today we can say unequivocally: together we have not only survived, but also found opportunities for the development of our economies," said the Belarusian leader.
