Lukashenko answers question about his participation in presidential election in 2025
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko answered the question of participation in presidential elections in 2025 at a meeting with foreign and Belarusian journalists, BelTA informs.
"I haven't even thought about presidential elections yet. Honestly. I haven't planned to. Only in the context of speculation: what will happen after me? But otherwise I have not planned anything," said Alexander Lukashenko.
As for the presidential elections in Russia scheduled for 2024, the head of the state said he hadn't discussed this issue with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. "I'm not interested in that either. Why should I pry into a man's soul? When he makes a decision, he will tell me about it. Not yet," said the President.
At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that now, according to the sociological studies, Vladimir Putin enjoys high support among the population.
