Lukashenko signs law on All-Belarusian People's Assembly. What will change?
The stability of the state and fair resolution of the most important issues of people's lives. Alexander Lukashenko has signed the law "On the All-Belarusian People's Assembly". According to the document, the legal status of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly has grown considerably. Now it is not only an advisory body. It will approve the program of social and economic development and the concept of national security, decide on appointments and dismissals of judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, as well as members of the CEC, submit an initiative to the President on holding a national referendum. Delegates are also responsible for assisting in maintaining international peace and security and supporting stability in the country.
The decisions of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly are obligatory, they can cancel legal acts and other decisions of the state bodies, if they are contrary to the interests of the society. The meetings of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly shall be held at least once a year.
