Lukashenko: The government needs to improve the efficiency of work on the implementation of agreements with foreign partners
The government needs to improve the efficiency of work on the implementation of agreements with foreign partners. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting on international issues on July 29, BelTA informs.
At the beginning of the event, the head of state drew attention to the fact that the international agenda remains extremely tense. The schedule of international meetings has been quite busy lately. “All this requires the utmost concentration of attention on the existing and future events,” - The President explained the necessity of the meeting.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is making the right decisions to establish cooperation with foreign countries and build relations for the long term. At the same time, the President criticized the government for insufficient efficiency and persistence in implementing certain agreements reached at the highest level.
“Let us agree that the role of the President, as they say figuratively, is to open a window in this or that direction, to create a common basis, a foundation for future agreements between the members of the government and the Prime Minister. And the government (led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the control of the Presidential Administration) should implement these or those agreements.
