Lukashenko: Permanent hybrid war waged against our peoples
A permanent hybrid war is being waged against the peoples of the CIS countries. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with the participants of the session of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member-states on August 8.
Attempts to disperse the post-Soviet states, to bring discord and split them from within are clearly visible today against the background of geopolitical changes taking place in the world. Illegal sanctions, sponsoring and arming radical movements - all these are links in this chain, which is being built to create man-made chaos in sovereign countries that are not going to live by someone else's orders. Only together, only together, can we oppose these attempts. There are resources for this. Alexander Lukashenko noted that our partnership is backed by a good contractual base and has been tested by time.
The Belarusian leader noted that the first such meeting in the format of the Council of the Heads of the Interior Ministry was held in February 1992 in Minsk. And this time Belarus is hosting the fiftieth, jubilee meeting of the Council.
"Such a long history of such a representative forum of the Interior Ministry heads shows the exceptional importance of consolidating the efforts of law enforcement officers to ensure security, protect the constitutional rights and interests of citizens of all the Commonwealth countries," the President said.
