Lukashenko: Time proves strength and sanctity of Belarusian-Russian friendship
Time has proved the strength and sanctity of the Belarusian-Russian friendship. This is said in the congratulatory message on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, sent by Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA informs.
"Time has proved the strength and inseparability of the Belarusian-Russian friendship, based on principles of equality, mutual respect, trust and support, historical community and commitment to the same spiritual and moral values. By fulfilling the will of the peoples we are consistently building up the potential of the Union State. Minsk and Moscow are joining efforts to implement a range of strategic measures to strengthen sovereignty and accelerate the development of our countries," the message of greetings runs.
Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that a wide coverage of areas and the depth of interaction allowed the Union State to be rightly called the engine of integration processes in the post-Soviet space.
Belarus and Russia are jointly exploring the outer space, building nuclear power plants, implementing projects in microelectronics and aircraft construction, carrying out unique high-tech developments.
"But the most important achievement is ensuring equal rights of citizens, social guarantees, pensions, employment opportunities and admission to universities," said Alexander Lukashenko.
The President is confident that the desire for unity of the Belarusians and Russians will serve as a solid foundation for further expansion of multidimensional and mutually beneficial cooperation, building a strong, authoritative and prosperous Union State.
He wished the citizens of both countries health, happiness, prosperity and peaceful skies.
