Makei: The position of the West is the main obstacle in resolving situation in Ukraine

The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry gave an interview to CGTN TV channel. Vladimir Makei presented the position of the official Minsk on the main topical issues of the global political agenda to the Chinese audience. The minister praised the negotiations between Kiev and Minsk held in the territory of our country. However, Vladimir Makei believes that Ukraine's subordination to the West prevents the parties from achieving results.

I am convinced that the main obstacle in resolving the current conflict situation is the position of the West, which supplies weapons and mercenaries. The West doesn't understand Russia's concern about NATO's expansion to the East. The negotiators should get rid of external advisers and focus on protecting the national interests.
